About

TimberFox Play started as a group chat where four friends kept trading screenshots of the games we were stuck on. At some point we realised our back-and-forth was more useful than most of the reviews we could find, so we turned it into a small site. Nothing fancy, just honest writing about mobile games across every genre.,We pick titles the way we always have: someone plays something interesting, brings it to the group, and if it holds up after a few evenings we write it up. We cover puzzles, role-playing games, strategy, racing, arcades and the odd simulator. If a game bores us by day three, we say so.,Nobody here gets paid by a studio to be nice. We buy or download games the same way readers do, and we spend real time with them before forming an opinion. A review usually means at least a week of play, sometimes much longer for bigger RPGs.,The goal is simple: help you decide whether a game is worth the space on your phone and the hours of your week. We'd rather write ten careful reviews than fifty rushed ones.

Lukas Vogel — Lukas has been writing about games for over a decade and still keeps three phones charged so he can test across devices. He handles most of the strategy and RPG coverage.
