Volcane Spins
Volcane Spins is one of those arcade games that sounds simple and then quietly eats your evening. You rotate a set of layered rings with swipes, lining up colored markers so a little traveler can hop from one platform to the next across a stylised volcano. The timing is everything — spin too early and you fall, too late and the path shifts away from you.
The controls are the strongest part. Everything is a single swipe or tap, and the game reads your gestures well even on a cracked screen. Early stages are forgiving, but by the middle chapters you're juggling two rings at once while the lava patterns speed up. We never felt the difficulty was unfair, just demanding.
What stuck with us was the pacing. Each level is short, so it's perfect for a bus ride, but the escalating rhythm makes you want 'one more run.' The art is warm and readable, and the soundtrack picks up tempo as you climb. A genuinely enjoyable little arcade title.
