Tidewardens

Tidewardens asks you to run a chain of island settlements while the sea itself works against you. Tides flood routes on a timer, so your plans have to account for when the water comes in and when it leaves. It's a clever twist on the usual base-builder.

The strategy layer is deep but readable. You manage resources, position defenders, and decide whether to expand or fortify. The AI opponents play the tides as aggressively as you do, which keeps matches tense.

It can feel overwhelming in the first hour, but the tutorial islands ease you in. Once the tide mechanic clicks, it becomes one of the more satisfying mobile strategy games we've played recently.
